A contemporary abstract painting exploring layered surfaces, removal, and rediscovery. Earthy tones and gestural marks create depth.
Arcs and sweeping forms give a sense of expansion and release. The deeper blues anchor the work, while warmer earth tones push through, adding heat beneath the surface. I worked intuitively, allowing each layer to partially obscure the last, so the painting feels like it is unfolding rather than fixed.
