The fourth work will also be the last in this series, as the artist wants to put the message and her support of the campaign in the foreground and not her technique. Nevertheless, in this picture too, the process is an essential part of the work. Starting with the activation of the canvas with large gestural graphite strokes, accentuated and refined with gesso, through lively and vibrant paint applied with a brush, accented with a spatula, to the… collage of many different layers of paper. The collaged part is coated again with liquid white paint, which is run over the colored part. Finally, the collaged surface is sanded again by hand and parts of the paper layers are torn off again so that colored layers come through. Finally, small accents were added with an acrylic pen and the work was signed on the front.
« Painting is my freedom, my passion, my love, my life. »
Ute Bivona is an experienced German painter who has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. As a child, she often felt abandoned and alone and fled into the magical world of colors, painting, drawing and reading to feel better. Through her lively abstract compositions, she tries to express her moods, thoughts, fears, hopes, sadness and joy and to take the viewer into her joyful, peaceful and, above all, colorful world.
