About this artwork

I observed these puffins on the Shetland Islands. The picture was taken a few months later based on my photographic notes in the studio. The seabirds with their bright orange beaks and their black and white plumage sit on a light green and ocher grassy area, next to them the muted pink of faded beach carnations.
