About this artwork
I collected these flotsam and jetsam objects from the wrack line on the Danish Baltic coast. This work is part of a series featuring wobblers. Wobblers are artificial fishing lures. Faded and peeling, they washed up on the beaches. I'm interested in these washed-out colors, ranging from neon orange to neon yellow. This color palette is the starting point for the collage's development of orange-red, yellow, and blue hues. The small sphere also comes…
from fishing tackle. The blue plastic shark and the pieces of wood, some with rusty nails, complete the picture. The wood may have come from a boat. Stories can be invented to accompany this image. The support is made of wood. The picture is surrounded by a gray-stained wooden frame, and picture wire serves as a hanger. My signature is on the front.
