About this artwork

Moods, structures and colors flow into this picture. Yellow and orange radiate warmth and lift your mood. Light blue and violet variations complement the color selection. A dynamic line towards the upper edge of the picture is created by various dark color areas in contrast to white. This creates tension in this painting. Only when viewed for a longer period of time does little persons reveal as a slightly figuratively painted dark color surface… in the various sections of the picture, sometimes at rest, sometimes in motion. The little flaneur never seems to be in a hurry. Nevertheless, this image remains primarily an abstraction. The painting is build up in several layers. It usually begins with a gesturally applied translucent underpainting. In further work steps, colors, lines and surfaces are applied so that the bottom layer remains visible. The process is repeated until a very complex surface is created.
