About this artwork
"Clamor" is a symbolic figurative work that fuses the social and the sacred. A mother, with a heartbreaking gesture of supplication, holds her sleeping son while raising her hands to the sky. Above her, the world weeps in shades of gold and blue, and white doves fly overhead, symbols of peace still searching for a place to rest.
The painting denounces collective pain and, at the same time, exalts the protective power of motherhood as a hope for… renewal. Using expressionist and symbolic language, the work invites the viewer to reflect on the fragility of humanity and the need for reconciliation with life and the planet.
