This view of Stickle Tarn sits in my mind like a familiar place I return to when I need quiet. The light in the Lake District can shift in minutes, and on this day the clouds moved quickly across the hills, throwing brief shadows and turning the water into a restless mirror.
I wanted to hold that moment when the sky folds into the lake, the blue patches reflected just enough to make you pause. It is a small painting, but it carries a memory of stillness… and change, shaped more by atmosphere than detail.
