About this artwork
The shown cow head was modeled in clay and poured into concrete with the help of a plaster mold, a so-called "lost mold". This makes it a unique specimen. The artistic intention was to make the cow as realistic as possible. After the casting was completed, the surface was reworked with glue-bound clay.
