Alice Gavin Atashkar is a self-taught painter from Manchester, now based in North London. Her expressive, gestural paintings blend abstraction, representation, and imagination, marked by playful, spontaneous base layers and lush, textured surfaces inspired by the changing seasons and the natural world. Through her joyful, vibrant colour pops, she conveys restoration, hope, and a mindful, energising sense of peace and wonder. For the last 8 years she has been mentored by Paul Regan, VPRWS. She is currently a member of London based art collective Art Can, and has regularly shown her work at London Art Fairs and participated in solo and group exhibitions. Gavin-Atashkar holds an MA in Art Psychotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire and practices as an art psychotherapist.
