« Everything I create emerges from the many textures and nuances of joy I see in the world around me, as well as in my own heart – which I share in celebration with you. »
Anna Jaap has exhibited in museums and galleries across the United States - opening over 40 solo shows in the course of her career. Jaap’s materials and methods are diverse as she incorporates acrylic, pastel, charcoal, and transfer techniques into abstract compositions. Her works are greatly varied: sometimes luminously ethereal and gestural, sometimes multilayered and pulsing with raw emotion. Jaap's works are energetic and display a balance of darkness and light, chaos and order.
