Astrid Thieme is a contemporary artist who works both digitally and traditionally. Her digital works are created through a consciously controlled process of composition, selection, transformation, and manual refinement, incorporating AI-supported tools. The female figure often serves as a central theme, representing presence, self-determination, and change. The works are produced as high-quality pigment prints on Hahnemühle FineArt papers, either as unique pieces or in strictly limited editions, hand-signed and certified.
In addition, she creates entirely hand-painted unique pieces, working with materials such as soft pastels, chalk and acrylic on canvas.
The tension between the conscious use of artificial intelligence and direct analog work is a central aspect of her artistic practice. Both areas are connected by her intensive engagement with color, expression, and visual presence.
