Barbara Kuebel is an award-winning Austrian painter and printmaker based in the United States whose works have been exhibited in both nations, as well as in France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Portugal. She cites the "imaginary volume of dissolved and redefined boundaries within the body structures" as being vital in her artistic practice. Kuebel's works explore the themes of people, crowds, and human behavior in limited spaces or environments. Her goal is to create tension between realism and fiction.
