Carol Murphy
Ireland
Influenced by Impressionism and her background in psychology, Carol Murphy uses oils and soft pastels to paint naturalistic, subtly abstract pieces that maneuver between realism and impressionism. Her work, aims to reflect life's intrinsic beauty rather than imposing predetermined narratives. Thus, she touches viewers with a calming resonance of shared universal experience of beauty in the world, at a period in time perhaps when many may feel a welcome deviation in these troubled times.
