« "Working directly from life is of the utmost importance. The urgency of a plein air painting is always immersive and exciting, while a portrait drawn from life will be a more truthful and wholistic portrayal of the sitter." »
Chris Polunin is an award-winning and classically trained painter from the United Kingdom. His art has been featured in exhibitions in the United States, France and the United Kingdom. He feels that representing beauty in all its forms is ever more important in a society that disregards the environment, and is determined to uphold nature’s beauty within his art. Whenever possible, he works directly from life. Polunin’s plein-air painting captures fleeting lighting effects, conveying the feeling of the moving moment.
