« My abstract work is the result of a completely visceral process. Whatever I paint comes directly from my heart, is very spontaneous, and stylistically always shifting. »
Abstract American artist Christina Doelling's artworks are emotive, serene and harmonious. Relishing the freedom and spontaneity of the style, no two canvases are ever the same. Christina's mixed media works are richly textured and employ a lyrical color palette of muted and natural tones. Utilizing multiple paint layers, charcoal and graphite allows her to create energy, intertest and dimension in each piece. Areas of intense activity are often juxtaposed with areas of calmness in her compositions, which creates the emotion and mood in her work.
