Constanze Kratzsch uses painting, photography, drawing, textile art, and sculpture. She grew up on the island of Rügen and now lives and works in Berlin. In her visual poetry, she creates idiosyncratic mythical creatures, faces, and landscapes with rough, firm lines, playing with contrasts of light and darkness. Her works appear raw, honest, and unsettling, always with an eye toward transience.
