Dirk Eelen is an artist based in Belgium whose pieces have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and France. Creating in series, many of his works portray themes relating to nostagia and reflection. In addition, Eelen finds dark surfaces fascinating. He paints solely with oils on canvas, employing the "wet on wet" technique to give his compositions a "unique vagueness".
