Dr. Uwe Furmanek is a self-taught painter with a legal background who works experimentally and free from academic constraints. He often combines abstract acrylic painting with oil pastels and unusual materials such as cardboard and texture paste to surprise with contrasts, breaks, and intriguing materiality. His works invite viewers to continually discover something new, fostering curiosity and creative freedom, and arousing both irritation and deep fascination.
