Fliss Esk is a self-taught painter whose creative journey began with a GCE in 1979, evolving through years of passionate self-exploration. She employs abstract, improvisatory techniques, responding intuitively to marks and manipulating shape and line to create harmonious compositions. Her process is informed by her years as a jazz musician, adapting live improvisation techniques to the visual medium.
