Jacques Tanguy, a scientist by training, uses acrylic on linen canvas to develop his compositions and establish his color harmonies. He then continues his work on a computer, integrating digital techniques applied to the posterization of tones.
He transforms his colors from strong to calm, dark to light, to respect the subtle play of light. His sensitivity to color combinations also impacts figurative forms with touches of abstraction that spread like musical notes. This is how he creates "digital variations" that combine painting and computer technology.
His art vibrates with emotions, arousing in the viewer a sparkling visual poetry clearly identifiable in his numerous articles published in the specialized press and in his reference book published by Editions Ulisse on "the mastery of color."
