Leonor Vaz (or Dosia Kochanek) is a self-taught painter. She embraces a contemporary, somewhat surrealist style, freely painting what she sees without reliance on prescribed techniques. Her work centers mostly on herself and her experiences with people, loss, love and hope - aiming to disrupt and challenge the viewer. Her art powerfully conveys personal storytelling and her nuanced perspectives on life’s most intimate moments. The theme of death is mostly always present, and of course her experience with psychosis. SIGNATURE ON THE BACK OF THE PAINTING.
