Lukos Hey is an accomplished Australian painter who has been creating professionally since 2003. Trained at Newcastle Art College and the University of Newcastle, his work combines the expressive richness of traditional oil painting with the calculated structure of Cubism. He creates oil paintings that reimagine familiar subjects through colour and imagination, inviting viewers to see the world with renewed wonder.
After completing his art school and university studies, Lukos began his professional career immediately, joining a respected commercial gallery and embarking on a path of exhibitions and international travel. Like many Australian artists before him, he was drawn to Europe, where he continues to live and work. He is currently based in Prague, Czech Republic.
Lukos’s paintings are held in private collections around the world, and in 2021 his contribution to contemporary art was recognised with the Golden Europea Award from the European Union of Arts.
