Mancini Matilde
Italy
Matilde Mancini, a talented sculptor, models bronze and wood, creating works that explore matter and space. Through a physical and reflective approach, she digs, files and smoothes massive roots to reveal lively and witty forms, in a search for harmony and beauty. Thus, in his sculptures we perceive a tension between material gravitas and a subtle emotional levity, which invites us to contemplate art as a vehicle towards worlds of elegant serenity mixed with restlessness.
