Meka is a contemporary abstract artist based in Slovakia, working primarily with acrylic on canvas. Her work is defined by a distinctive “thick-paint” technique, where layers of paint are applied using a palette knife to create a rich, sculptural surface.
Inspired by landscapes, memory, and emotional perception of space, her paintings translate natural forms into simplified, abstract compositions. Rather than depicting reality, Meka captures atmosphere—transforming mountains, horizons, and terrain into balanced color fields and tactile structures.
Her work is characterized by a refined palette of muted tones combined with bold contrasts, creating a dialogue between calmness and intensity. Each piece is designed not only as an artwork, but as a visual element that interacts with interior space.
Meka’s paintings are part of private collections and are created with a strong focus on harmony, texture, and timeless aesthetic.
