« The urban versus the rural, man versus nature, order versus chaos are the main themes I continue to explore in my work. The more I investigate these opposing and contrasting elements the more I realise, that on a deeper level, they are a direct reflection of the two facets of who I am as a person. »
Miranda Donovan is a British artist whose urban spirited works explore the relationship between man and nature. Her textured and tactile paintings with powerful displays of colour, are scrupulously layered, both physically and figuratively, resulting in a powerful experience for the viewer.
