About this artwork
With this urban landscape scene Donovan focuses on the outside of a building, a wall, littered with graffiti, a doorway, drainpipes and various construction objects and signs. The graffiti of a weeping turtle alludes to a current mood sweeping the world. Yet a no entry road sign, left abandoned by the side of this building, reminds us on a metaphorical and mental level not to enter into this negative mental state. After the rain, "FLASH" the sun…
