OLIVIER LARREY

Olivier Larrey is a photographer and ornithologist by training, specializing in large-format photography of polar and boreal wildlife. He favors black and white and minimalist compositions, working primarily in winter to magnify the silence and the whiteness of the snow. His technique relies on the use of long lenses and close proximity to the animals, seeking to capture their gaze. Through his images, he conveys his fascination with the cold, solitude, and a profound admiration for the silent poetry of the polar lands.
His photographic work and films have received numerous awards and Olivier has been a Leica Ambassador since 2024.
