Ricky Romain
United Kingdom
« I draw on figurative and abstract traditions, addressing themes of injustice, believing that art can tap into a deeper vein of truth than the 'reality' of everyday experience. »
Ricky Romain is an experienced artist based in the United Kingdom whose paintings have been widely exhibited throughout the U.K. and in France. His passionate feelings are connected to political re-actions and the works he produces are symptomatic of his deeply held convictions. Romain's art is a means through which he attempts to understand and interpret his despair of the extreme brutality in this world, which is tempered by an admiration for the human spirit, and its propensity to endure.
