Silvia Sommariva

I was born in Buenos Aires and lived in Patagonia until 1993.
Following in the footsteps of my mother, an art teacher and painter, I have loved artistic expression in all its forms since I was a child. Since 1993, I have lived in Italy, in the province of Perugia.
I have a degree in History and a European Professional Diploma as an Interior Decorator. I specialized in majolica decoration with the master Romano Ranieri and worked for many years in the field of artistic ceramics. For several years, I have been following the Essentialist painting movement, which originated in Argentina in the 1980s thanks to the masters Heriberto Zorrilla and Helena Distefano, with whom I attended a course in Barcelona.
