Annette Nieukerk, with a rich background in printmaking, art education, and theatre design, creates multi-layered, mixed-media works focusing on the human figure and visual narrative. She employs a representational style using translucent drafting film, walnut ink, collage, and nature imagery to create depth, fragmentation, and symbolism. Her works convey a powerful sense of vulnerability, confronting stereotypes and inviting viewers to reflect on aging, identity, and the ever-shifting beauty of human existence.
