About this artwork
My work is a fusion of passion and nature, captured in the texture and movement of oil painting. Abstract brush strokes in vibrant yellow on solid grays and deep blues evoke the energy of a dream landscape, a place where feelings and earth meet. Each stroke is imbued with emotion, seeking to resonate with the viewer, filling any space with a fresh and dynamic spirit. It is the interpretation of a nature that vibrates within us.

Ángel Alcalde's artistic career began in Madrid in the late 1970s, in the workshops of hand-painted film posters, where he shared a creative space with Antonio López, a decisive experience in shaping his artistic vision. Later, his interests expanded to include journalism, and in the 1990s, he joined the University of Castilla-La Mancha as Chief of Staff to the Rector, contributing to its institutional development. In 2010, he definitively returned to painting with a mature style, where Impressionism and Expressionism converge through a bold use of color, light, and texture.
