Tribute to the 50th anniversary of the death of Franco Cevert.
Portrait of the driver François Cevert, born on February 25, 1944 in Paris and died on October 6, 1973 in Watkins Glen in the United States, he mainly participated in single-seater and sports car races. François Cevert, French Formula 3 champion in 1968, won a Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1971. At the beginning of the 1970s, he was considered the French hope of international motorsport. Some… of his fellow racing drivers saw in him a future Formula 1 world champion. In addition to his sporting successes, François Cevert was considered a charismatic and outgoing person, who also attracted the attention of the public through his social life. He died in an accident on the Watkins Glen circuit during qualifying for the 1973 United States Grand Prix.
