About this artwork
In this work, I explore the balance of opposing forces. I use the Yin-Yang symbol as a universal metaphor for duality, light and darkness, stillness and movement, nature and spirit.
I integrated landscape elements such as forest, water and architecture into the form to make inner states visible.
Fog represents transitions and ambiguity, water reflection and depth. The black and white surfaces merge into one another, demonstrating that opposites… cannot be separated but rather are mutually dependent.
I understand this work as an invitation to quiet contemplation, as a moment of peace in which external landscape and inner experience merge.
The image is completely coated with epoxy resin to protect the colors and then sealed with a matte acrylic varnish for optical enhancement.
The dimensions, including the frame, are: 112.5 x 112.5 x 5 cm.
Adam Cieslik is a self-taught painter who works with acrylics, texture pastes, and natural pigments, having originally experimented with pencil, paper, and even coffee. He combines intuitive processes with layered painting, where chance and control merge, and abstraction, as well as the tension between stillness and energy, characterize his work. His art touches the viewer through profound explorations of identity, transience, and inner transformations, aiming to reveal authentic emotions so that they resonate long after the moment is over.
