About this artwork
This work is part of an ongoing exploration of the human figure as something unstable—both physically and emotionally. I’m not interested in idealized bodies, but in moments where the body feels heavy, exposed, or on the verge of losing its structure.
In this piece, the figure leans back in a position that suggests both rest and tension. There is a sense of weight pulling the body down, while the lines that define it remain fragile, almost uncertain.… I wanted the drawing to feel as if it could collapse or dissolve at any moment.
The process itself is visible: marks are left unfinished, corrected, or erased, allowing the image to retain its vulnerability. For me, this is where the work becomes honest—not in perfection, but in its instability.
This series reflects an ongoing search for presence: how a figure can exist with very little, and how close it can come to disappearing while still being felt.
