About this artwork
In this piece, I poured my emotion into raw, sweeping brushstrokes that blend the expressive intensity of acrylic and oil paint, with the use of string to control some of the flows of the mixtures of the paint mediums. The semi-abstract landscape evokes the rugged tension between nature’s beauty and its chaos. It breathes energy, ready to transform your space with its vibrant, untamed spirit and invite reflection on the harmony between land, sea,…
and sky.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Adrian Flaherty, with a background spanning Post-Impressionism, architecture, and a Sculpture degree from Camberwell College of Art and Design, works across painting and conceptual art. He employs a style he calls "Reasoned Chance," blending the unpredictability of abstract expressionism and chance methods with purposeful mark-making, inspired by artists like Duchamp and Pollock. Through organic forms, dynamic textures, and a vivid use of primary colours, he explores human struggle, environment, and the tension between chaos and order, imbuing his art with a powerful sense of resilience and emotional intensity.
