In creating this work, I wanted to explore the intersection of nature and human spirituality through the use of printmaking and ink techniques. The depiction of a majestic yet bare tree in a vase symbolizes the resilience and continuity of life, even in the face of emptiness and isolation. The minimalist and symbolic style enhances the emotion of metaphysical contemplation, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own existence and their relationship… with the natural universe. The energy that this work emanates can transform a domestic space into a sanctuary of peace and introspection.
Akil L. Zani, born in Albania, is a multidisciplinary artist who expresses himself through drawing, painting, photography, architecture, printmaking, sculpture, and music, among other mediums. His style is poised between sonic journeys and visual adventures, probing the depths of being and seeking definitive expressive solutions. His art reveals a mystical quest with an emotional impact that invites introspection. His works are held in public institutions, private collections of artists and teachers, independent archives and passionate collectors throughout Europe.
