About this artwork
In this artwork, I've used subtle hues and geometric precision to evoke a sense of clarity and balance. The interplay of soft pinks and pastel blues through acrylic creates a metaphysical space that feels both calming and introspective. This piece is designed to bring a whisper of serenity and a touch of minimalistic elegance to your space, reflecting the quiet moments of life.
This work, which belongs to a triptych called Infinite is inspired… by the ink "Universe" of the Japanese Buddhist monk Sengai Gibon, who manages to synthesize the essence of Zen thought in the basic geometric forms, a structure that reveals the duality of the relationship between space and time. Where it is possible the connection of the viewer with his own transcendental space in a deep and meaningful way in harmony with the universe and its totality.
« Every paradox can be resolved if the visual resolution is appropriate. »
Alejandra Repetto Escardó is a Río de la Plata–based artist working at the intersection of geometric abstraction and contemplative inquiry. Through painting and photography, she explores the persistence of the sacred in contemporary art, approaching geometry not as a closed system but as a symbolic structure that activates perception.
Her practice engages the constructive legacy of Joaquín Torres García and Zen Buddhist thought, understanding emptiness as an active field of energy rather than absence. Synthesising geometric language, landscape, and archetypal form, her work questions how the gaze is culturally constructed.
Through subtle monochromes, high tonal palettes, and restrained use of gold, she creates perceptual thresholds where silence, structure, and void converge.
