About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I embraced the purity of minimalism and the order of geometric forms. I adeptly manipulated acrylics to create a harmonious interplay of shapes and a subtle gradation of hues that evoke calmness and thoughtful contemplation. This work is a silent conversation in color and form, designed to infuse any space with serenity and a modern, sophisticated aesthetic.
« Every paradox can be resolved if the visual resolution is appropriate. »
Alejandra Repetto Escardó (Buenos Aires) is an Argentine-Uruguayan visual artist whose work explores the intersection of geometric abstraction, landscape, and contemplative experience. Through painting and photography, she investigates geometry as a symbolic language capable of evoking transcendence, infinity, and the experience of space. Influenced by the constructive legacy of the Río de la Plata region, Zen thought, and Andean cosmologies, her work examines perception, emptiness, and the horizon as a perceptual threshold. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts from the National University of the Arts (UNA) and completed graduate studies in Argentine and Latin American Art History at IDAES-UNSAM, researching the influence of Zen thought on Argentine abstraction. Her major solo exhibitions have been presented at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Raúl Lozza, MACLA, and MUMBAT. Her work is held in museums and in public and private collections across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
