About this artwork
In this vibrant acrylic creation, I played with geometric abstraction to evoke dynamism and growth. The interplay of lush greens and bold reds conjures images of nature's vitality, drawing the eye into a dance of shapes and angles. This piece is designed to breathe energy into any space, sparking imagination and invigorating the soul with its lively presence.
« Every paradox can be resolved if the visual resolution is appropriate. »
Alejandra Repetto Escardó is a Río de la Plata–based artist working at the intersection of geometric abstraction and contemplative inquiry. Through painting and photography, she explores the persistence of the sacred in contemporary art, approaching geometry not as a closed system but as a symbolic structure that activates perception.
Her practice engages the constructive legacy of Joaquín Torres García and Zen Buddhist thought, understanding emptiness as an active field of energy rather than absence. Synthesising geometric language, landscape, and archetypal form, her work questions how the gaze is culturally constructed.
Through subtle monochromes, high tonal palettes, and restrained use of gold, she creates perceptual thresholds where silence, structure, and void converge.
