5 am es el recuerdo a una calle muy peculiar en Paris, La Rue Saint Denis. Cuando joven, Arango realizó su primer viaje a europa, en el cual conoció por primera vez Paris, siendo esta hoy una de sus ciudades favoritas del mundo. Le quedó muy gravada en la memoria la calle Saint Denis en la cual pudo ver a varias chicas de la vida nocturna, sorprendido realizó días más tarde varios apuntes los cuales años después retomó en esta pieza. Alejandro Arango is a Mexican painter and sculptor who has extensively exhibited nationally. His works are featured in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (US), the Museum of Contemporary Art (Mexico) and the Collection of Latin American Art (Chile), to name a few. Arango’s inspiration has always been the human being in all of its phases. He works mainly in oil but also uses mixed media such as wood, paper, and occasionally vintage objects.
