This work belongs to the CONSCIENCE group, within the SOUL or ESSENCE series.
These are works created with acrylic paints spread over a surface treated with gesso or stucco, creating a bas-relief effect. The painting thus has a very seductive material texture that captures and reflects light, as well as being evocative to the touch. I like to think of them as three-dimensional works, with a certain depth.
The meaning is my reflection on the concept… of "Conscience", that is, our inner voice, our guiding spirit.
