About this artwork
Like the other works in the ANIMA or ESSENZA series, it goes beyond the visible in search of the essence of reality. I draw inspiration from nature and the world around me, but I then try to reduce everything to the essential, to the visual suggestion, as well as to the imprint that colors and shapes leave on the soul.
Life, existence, with its emotions, feelings, passions, and dreams, shape our soul, constantly working and acting upon it, as if… it were a canvas, a painting, becoming color, but also matter, like fabric, paper, glass, sand, clay, modifying, designing, and sculpting our unconscious, our essence, our soul. I investigate the meaning of reality, seeking the essence of things and concrete reality, but also of our emotions and feelings.
