About this artwork
"Love at first sight" is an example of how the artist manages to convey various emotional states with colors. The fuchsia color is a symbol of optimism, wavering between passion and coldness, extraversion and introversion, sweetness and aggressiveness: a mix of oxymorons that expresses the artist's will to go beyond his own limits imposed by reason. With this color he feels he can express a sense of fulfillment that leads him to let himself be swept…
away by gratifying emotions that try to prevail over the insecurities and fears symbolized by the black color, which creeps in and reaches every surrounding space. It is no coincidence that the artist chooses a gray background, a symbol of detachment that denotes an attitude of self-protection and prudent waiting in the face of the choice between wanting to fight his own insecurities and surrendering to the threat represented by the fear of going beyond the limits of own reason.
