About this artwork
For this photo I was largely inspired by Japanese art, which conveys the impermanence of the world, landscapes, and flowers.
I depict an imaginary icy landscape tinged with romance, featuring pink magnolias, serenity, and purity represented by the snow.
This work is a reminder of the ephemeral nature of things brought together in a single photo: snow, blooming magnolias, and also of finding beauty in the simple things in life.
