Attuning captures a moment of transition — when the old way of holding oneself is still present, but no longer feels possible.
The figure is composed and almost mechanical, shaped by a familiar sense of control and precision. Her posture is still, contained and deliberate, as if she is listening closely to something. Yet the watercolor moves differently: loose, fluid and unpredictable, slipping far beyond the structure of the figure.
This contrast… reflects a place I've been exploring in my practice — the space between what has been familiar and what is beginning to emerge. Sometimes the body continues to hold an old pattern even when something inside is already changing.
Perhaps Attuning is the first moment of listening. Not yet letting go, but becoming curious enough to notice that another way might be possible.
For me, the flowing watercolor is part of that transition. I cannot fully control where it goes, and that is precisely what I want to leave room for.
