About this artwork
Summer, vacation, bathing pleasure. It's like arriving at a lawn on a beautiful day. From an elevated position one looks through sparsely leafy trees over a lake to the opposite bank and further to the sky spanning the whole scenery. The tree trunks form a vertical lattice structure, to which the surfaces representing the foliage are arranged at right angles.

Alexandra Weidmann is an artist based in Germany whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Denmark, the United States, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, and Belgium. Fascinated by colors and the creation of the illusion of movement, her works explore the fundamental questions of being human. In addition, Weidmann portrays areas of tension between confrontation and cooperation.
