About this artwork
In Reflection, I wanted to create a space for stillness and quiet observation. Rather than focusing on a single image or narrative, I worked through layers of soft, muted color, allowing subtle marks and textures to emerge across the surface. The painting developed gradually, through a process of looking, responding, and discovering relationships between gesture, color, and space. I was interested in balancing structure and spontaneity. For me, Reflection is about the quiet spaces within us—the moments when we pause, observe, and reconnect with our inner world. It is an invitation to embrace subtlety and to find meaning not in what is immediately visible, but in what gradually emerges through attentive looking.
