The Gentle Series: A Story
This collection is my quiet response to the soft, dreamlike world of Claude Monet’s water lily ponds at Giverny. It is not an imitation of any of his works, but it plays with a similar serene palette of hazy pinks, tranquil blues, and muted greens—colours that seem to breathe with a light of their own.
I used this charming colour map as a starting point for my own explorations, aiming to capture that same feeling of peaceful… immersion. Into this gentle landscape, I introduce my own language: the gold leaf circle.
To me, a circle is a hug—an embrace of light, a completed moment of connection. These luminous elements are my signature, offering a contemporary touch and a point of reflective warmth within the softness.
"The Gentle Series" is a journey through a calming, colour-suffused landscape, where the spirit of Impressionism meets a modern, heartfelt embrace.
