About this artwork
"Forest Singing" comes from the lovely woods near my home. Amber light plays through beautiful leaves creating abstract dappled shadows and light. This is the most beautiful time of year in the woods and great inspiration for painting.
An original artwork, one of a kind, this painting has been created with high quality acrylic paints on deep edged canvas. I begin with observation of the place making notes and taking photographs to work from in the… studio. I paint some base layers with a brush and then impasto techniques layer on layer applied with a palette knife, creating a contemporary painting, which lies somewhere between abstraction and realism. The painting continues round the sides, a frame is not needed and it is ready to hang.
For secure shipping I package work carefully and always insure and track for the journey sending by special delivery with parcel force from the UK.

« My paintings are a response to the natural world and I attempt to capture the peaceful mood of the land and forest. »
Amanda Horvath is an experienced painter from the UK whose landscapes show her reverence for the natural world. Horvath paints to convey a sense of tranquility, capturing the serenity of the forest near her home. She uses various techniques and palette knives to create textured, vibrant, and harmonious scenes that lie somewhere between abstraction and realism. She shows a great attention to light and shadows, and her use of exaggerated colors really heightens the sense of place and season.
