About this artwork

"Dreaming of Love" by Monira Art is an enchanting painting. The Asian woman stands under a billowing canopy of blue rain - still, with her eyes closed, as if listening to a melody that only she can hear. The clusters of lavender-blue flowers hang from the sky like dreams, gently touching her hair, brushing her shoulders as if to envelop her in their world of lightness and fragrance.

Her face is calm, almost enraptured - no smile, and yet a deep… contentment. At this moment, she belongs entirely to herself. Her thoughts wander through landscapes of longing, through gardens of memory and over bridges of hope.

The love she dreams of lives in this picture: not loud, not tangible, but like the light that falls through the blue rain blossoms - soft, flowing, full of magic.

The wind carries her dreams on in a whisper, as if it knows where they belong.

The painting was exposed in Paris in the Louvre in September 2022.
